The incentives and rebates for solar are both real and substantial. The most important thing to keep in mind about these programs is this—they won’t last forever. Now is the time to take advantage of the rebates to renewable sources of energy; once the adoption rate reaches a certain level, the incentives will disappear. Unfornutately some rebates also expire. In South Carolina there are rebates through SCE&G as well as Duke Energy. There is also a significant state tax incentive.
